It’s pretty easy to update them to a GameCube style analog stick for around $10 and 5 minutes of work. The whole analog stick “swirly bit” is a sub-module that plugs into the main controller board. I’ve upgraded the 2 of my 4 that see the most use after the originals broke and they’re holding up really well to the abuse from my two kids.
